The wealth of the town is documented by the historical gothic and renaissance buildings. In the town there are different valuable buildings, like Museum of Master Paul, the former building of the Śtúr Evangelical Lyceum and the Thurzo House.
The Parish church of St. James -a national cultural memorial, is the second biggest church in Slovakia and has the highest wooden altar in the world- 18 m 62cm high and 6 m 27 cm wide. Valuable is the Town hall with its cage of shame from 16th century . .
The church of the Marianska Hill is also well known. Since the 27th of June 2009 the town of Levoča has been entered into the list of UNESCO world cultural and natural heritage.
Zakopane is typical for its architecture. Amongst the most visited memorials is the Sanctuary of Bozej Fatimskiej on Krzeptowky, the museum of Wladyslawa Hasiora, the Chapel Najswietszego Serca Jezusa in Jaszczurowce, the Old Cemetery on Peksowy Brzyzk, The Zakopane Museum of Style, the Tatra Museum.
Stará Ľubovňa lies near the Slovak-Polish border... .
Around the year 1307 a castle was erected nearby. From 1655 till 1661 the Polish Crown jewels were hidden in the castle. Under the castle there is a working historical village, in which there are log cabins. Plavec is a castle ruin above the village of Plavec.
Over the Polish border of the fortress peak by the Jezioro Czorstyńskie Dam now remains merely ruins. It was once the seat of Polish Mayors. Now it is a state cultural memorial. There is a nice view from the ruins.
This Hungarian castle with its original name of Dunajec was built on pre-historic castle walls. It had an important role in Hungarian-Polish relations. The castle was inhabited through all this time. Now a regional museum is placed in the castle.
On the steep slopes are the remains of the fortress. We can make out the walls, windows and foundations of the smaller rooms as well as the remains of the fortress walls. Archeological surveys have dated it to the mid 13th century.

This village is in the Malopolsky County. We can visit the church of St. Swierad and Benedict and the hermitage of St. Swierad. Folk tradition says that in these places was once built a pagan temple and a grove.

The Czchow fortress was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th century on the hills over the Dunajec. Up till now there remains a Romanesque watch tower which is partially destroyed as well as the foundations of the walls.
The fortress was built of stone on steep rocky slopes in the 14th century. From three sides it is surrounded by the River Dunajec.
The Belianska Cave is the only publicly accessible cave in the High Tatras in the northern brow of Kobylý peak over the Tatra basin. In the 18th century it was visited by treasure hunters. The cave is 1752 m long of which 1001 m is accessible.
The only known and accessible cave, since 1999, in the Prešov region is the Evil Hole Cave near the village of Lipovce. When viewing the cave the visitor wears a helmet to explore the mysterious underground. There is no electricity in the cave so the visitor uses traditional mining lanterns to find his way.
This is the most beautiful valley of the Polish side of the West Tatras. It is 8km long. We can find here everything one would expect from a west Tatra valley –steep, rocky walls, beautiful streams, views, caves.
This cave can be found in the eastern slopes of the Koscielisko Valley, 120m above the well known springs of "Lodowa Źródło". We can find within beautiful dripping ornaments. It is 503 m long.
This is a Carthusian monastery lying in the Pieniny National Park. It has entered our cultural history due to two monks; Cyprian-collector of herbs and Romuald Hadbavny-author of a Latin Slovak dictionary.
This renaissance manor-house is a national cultural memorial and is one of the oldest manor-houses in Slovakia. Together with its gothic fortified church of St. Ann and its renaissance bell tower it creates the historical core of the village. After its reconstruction it houses exhibition of the Slovak National Gallery.
Podolínec lies in the valley of the river Poprad and on the edges of the Spiš Magura, Podtatranský basin and the Levoča Hills. Here we can find the roman-catholic church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its gothic and renaissance inventory, a renaissance bell tower, chapel of St. Ann and monastery.
This village is in the Malopolsky County. Here is the border crossing with the Slovak Republic. We can find a well kept church from 1861.
It belongs to one of the oldest seats of the Carpathian Mountains. We can find the remains of a stone castle. It is difficult to say whether it was built in the14th century during the reign of King Kazimir or after the settling of the bishops.
It is a town on the River Poprad in the Malopolsky County. Natural healing water can be found here which is used by the local spas. Among the sights of the town is the town hall, church, fountain of mineral water, regional museum. Our stay is made more pleasant by the views of the forested surroundings.

Pieniny covers an area along the border with Poland. It is the
smallest national park in Slovakia - PIENAP. Most of the mountains are limestone. From its total area roughly half is on the Polish and the other half on the Slovak side. The picturesque village of Lesnica is one of the oldest villages of Zamaguri, and lies within close
proximity to the gulley of the Lesnica stream and the River Dunajec.
From Lesnica we can ascend to the Safranovka Peak. The peak itself is covered with wood and bush growths. For a good view it is necessary to cross into the Polish side approximately 10m below the peak. From here you can see how the Dunajec leaves Slovakia.

The church of the Marianska Hill is also well known. Since the 27th of June 2009 it has been listed entered in the UNESCO list of world cultural and natural heritage.
Zakopané
Zakopane is typical for its architecture. Stará Ľubovňa, Plaveč
Stará Ľubovňa leží lies near the Slovak-Polish border...Around the year 1307 a castle was erected nearby (pic.1,2). From 1655 til 1661 the Polish Crown jewels were hidden in the castle. On the steep slopes are the remains of the fortress. We can make out the walls, Windows and foundations of the smaller rooms as well as the remains of the fortress walls. Archeological surveys have dated the it to the mid 13th century
Kežmarok

Spišský Hrhov
The territory of the present day village was inhabited as early as the Stone Age. Today, as well as the beautiful countryside around the village, we can see a natural stone bridge (pi.1), the church (pic.2) and a baroque kastiel (pic.3)
